Part-Time Primary Teaching Assistant
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: Until the end of the Autumn Term (with the potential for extension)
Location: Rugeley

Zest Education is delighted to be working with an outstanding primary school in Rugeley, seeking a part-time Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025 through to the end of the Autumn Term. There is a strong possibility this role could be extended beyond the initial contract.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a key part of the classroom team, supporting teachers and pupils to ensure high-quality teaching and learning. Duties include:

  • Providing tailored support to pupils in small groups and one-to-one

  • Assisting with lesson preparation and classroom organisation

  • Helping to manage pupil behaviour and encourage positive engagement

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs to access learning effectively

  • Contributing to a safe, stimulating, and caring school environment

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a dedicated, reliable, and enthusiastic individual with a passion for helping children thrive. The ideal candidate will have:

  • A Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) – preferred

  • Recent experience working in a primary school

  • A nurturing, adaptable, and proactive approach

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A genuine commitment to making a difference in children’s education

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
