Zest Education is currently recruiting a passionate and qualified Chemistry Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Nottingham from October 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to teach a subject you love in a school that values science and innovation.
Teach Chemistry across Key Stage 3 and 4, with KS5 teaching available for the right candidate
Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory lessons
Inspire students to develop a passion for science and explore STEM pathways
Assess, track, and report on pupil progress effectively
Support enrichment activities such as science clubs, competitions, or trips
Work collaboratively with the science department and contribute to curriculum planning
✅ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or PGCE with a science/chemistry specialism
✅ Strong subject knowledge of chemistry and general science curriculum
✅ Confident delivering practical experiments safely and effectively
✅ Excellent classroom management and communication skills
✅ Passionate about inspiring the next generation of scientists
✅ Open to both experienced teachers and ECTs

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
