Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Swadlincote
Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children’s learning and development? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Swadlincote. This full-time role will begin in October 2025 and continue until the end of the academic year, with the potential for extension.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to provide essential support to Year 3 pupils. Your focus will be on helping children progress both academically and socially, working with small groups and individual pupils where needed.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the delivery of creative and engaging lessons
Supporting children with key areas of learning, including reading, writing, and maths
Offering targeted support to pupils who require additional help
Promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment
Helping with classroom organisation and administrative tasks
The ideal candidate will be:
Patient, caring, and committed to supporting children in their learning
Experienced working in a primary school environment, ideally with Key Stage 2
Able to build strong, supportive relationships with pupils and staff
Reliable, proactive, and flexible in their approach
Ideally holding a Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, though experienced applicants without formal qualifications will also be considered

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
