Zest Education is working in partnership with a friendly and forward-thinking primary school located in Burton upon Trent. We are looking to appoint a confident and committed Teaching Assistant to support the school’s Year 5 class, starting in October 2025. This is a full-time role that will continue until the end of Autumn term with the possibility of extension based on performance and school needs.
Supporting the Year 5 teacher in delivering high-quality, engaging lessons across the curriculum.
Providing one-to-one and small group support to help pupils reach their full potential.
Assisting in the preparation of classroom resources and activities.
Promoting positive behaviour and supporting the social and emotional development of pupils.
Helping to create a safe, stimulating and inclusive learning environment.
Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent – preferred).
Have recent experience working in a Key Stage 2 setting, ideally within Year 5.
Be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be proactive, organised, and passionate about helping children succeed.
Show patience, resilience, and a caring nature in all aspects of their role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
