Zest Education is working with a warm and welcoming primary school in Leicester, currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support across KS1 and KS2 from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping young learners thrive academically and emotionally.
Provide in-class support to pupils and assist the class teacher with daily tasks
Work 1:1 and in small groups to support students with varying needs
Support learning activities across subjects including reading, writing, and maths
Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive attitudes to learning
Assist with preparation of materials, displays, and classroom organisation
Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment
✅ Experience working in a school or with children in an educational setting
✅ Kind, patient, and confident supporting children of all abilities
✅ Excellent communication and teamwork skills
✅ Ideally holds a Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (or equivalent experience)
✅ A passion for making a difference in children’s education

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
