Zest Education is working with a well-established and forward-thinking secondary school in Derby, seeking a passionate and skilled Maths Teacher to join their team from September 2025. This is an exciting opportunity for a teacher with a love for numbers and problem-solving to make a lasting impact in a supportive environment.
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
Adapt teaching to meet the needs of mixed-ability learners
Assess, record, and report on pupil progress in line with school and national standards
Inspire students to develop strong numeracy skills and a positive attitude toward Maths
Contribute to curriculum development and enrichment activities
Work collaboratively with colleagues to raise achievement and drive progress
✅ Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, SCITT)
✅ Has recent experience teaching Maths in a secondary school
✅ Strong subject knowledge and ability to engage and challenge students
✅ Effective classroom management and communication skills
✅ Open to ECTs and experienced teachers alike
✅ Committed to continuous professional development and teamwork

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
