🌟 Teaching Assistant – Secondary School | Lichfield | September Start 🌟
Are you passionate about education and keen to make a real difference in the lives of young people? Zest Education is currently working in partnership with a welcoming and ambitious secondary school in Lichfield, and we are looking to recruit a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2025.
About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, patient, and eager to support pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and SEN staff to help pupils access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporting pupils in small groups and on a one-to-one basis
Assisting the class teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
Helping to manage classroom behaviour and promote a positive learning environment
Providing tailored support for pupils with additional learning needs
Preparing classroom resources and supporting lesson planning when required
About You:
We are looking for someone who is:
Passionate about helping young people thrive
Confident and calm when working with secondary-age pupils
Able to build positive relationships with both staff and students
Proactive, flexible, and reliable
Previous school experience is desirable, but not essential – training can be provided for the right candidate
Requirements:
A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one)
Eligibility to work in the UK
References covering the last 2 years of employment
