Zest Education is proud to be working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Telford that is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students both inside and outside the classroom. You’ll work closely with teaching staff to assist in delivering engaging lessons, supporting pupils with additional needs, and helping to create a positive learning environment.

This is a full-time role during term time, ideal for someone who is passionate about education and looking to gain valuable experience in a secondary school setting.

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students who may require additional help.
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation, classroom management, and resource creation.
• Promote positive behaviour and support students’ emotional and academic development.
• Help create a safe and inclusive environment for all learners.
• Work collaboratively with staff and contribute to the wider school community.

About You:

• Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.
• A genuine interest in supporting secondary-aged students.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, resilience, and a proactive attitude.
• A valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one through Zest Education.
