Zest Education is working with a caring and inclusive school in Loughborough that is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and thrive both academically and emotionally.
Provide tailored 1:1 or small group support for pupils with additional needs (e.g. autism, ADHD, SEMH, speech & language difficulties)
Support teaching staff in the delivery of differentiated learning
Promote an inclusive and encouraging classroom environment
Implement strategies in line with EHCPs and work under the guidance of the SENCO
Assist with behaviour regulation and emotional support when required
Build strong, supportive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
✅ Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or care environment
✅ A nurturing, patient, and flexible approach
✅ Good understanding of SEN strategies and communication techniques
✅ Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3) or relevant SEN experience preferred
✅ Able to work effectively as part of a team and independently
✅ Willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
