Zest Education is recruiting a caring and committed SEN 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work with a pupil who requires additional support from September 2025. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference by providing personalised learning assistance in a supportive school environment.
Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with special educational needs, ensuring they can fully access learning
Implement strategies outlined in the pupil’s EHCP (Education, Health and Care Plan)
Assist with both academic and social development
Build a positive and trusting relationship with the pupil
Liaise with teachers, SENCO, and parents to track progress and adjust support where necessary
Promote an inclusive and nurturing learning environment
✅ Experience working with children with SEN (autism, ADHD, speech & language needs, etc.)
✅ Patience, empathy, and the ability to adapt support to meet individual needs
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Knowledge of SEN strategies and best practices
✅ Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (can be arranged)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
