Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate Year 2 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Leicester from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and support pupils at a key stage in their learning journey.
Role Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Year 2 lessons in line with the National Curriculum
Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs
Assess, record, and report on pupil progress
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
Work closely with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure pupil success
Follow the school’s safeguarding and behaviour policies
✅ QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or PGCE (Primary)
✅ Experience teaching at Key Stage 1, ideally in Year 2
✅ Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and SATs preparation
✅ Excellent classroom management skills
✅ Ability to inspire, motivate, and support pupils of all abilities
✅ Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (can be arranged)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
