Zest Education is looking for a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join a well-regarded primary school in Derby, starting from September 2025. This position is initially for the first half term, with potential for longer-term opportunities.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the class teacher with daily classroom tasks and learning activities
Leading or assisting with small group and one-to-one interventions
Assisting with behaviour management and pupil engagement
Preparing learning resources and maintaining an organised classroom environment
Supporting children with additional or special educational needs
Promoting a nurturing and inclusive atmosphere for all pupils
Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) is preferred
Prior experience in a primary school setting
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
A proactive, reliable, and flexible approach
A caring, patient, and supportive nature
Commitment to helping children thrive in their education

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
