Zest Education is looking to recruit confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across Nottingham from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with classroom experience who are keen to gain valuable secondary school experience.
Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring pupils remain on task
Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and activities across a variety of subjects
Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies
Provide general support to the school when not covering lessons
Encourage a positive learning environment and support pupil progress
✅ Previous experience working with young people (school, tutoring, coaching, youth work, etc.)
✅ Confident classroom presence and good behaviour management skills
✅ Ability to adapt quickly and work across a variety of subjects and year groups
✅ Strong communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (can be arranged)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
