Zest Education is recruiting confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work in a range of secondary schools across Derby from September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with experience working with young people who want to gain classroom experience.
Supervise classes during teacher absences, delivering pre-prepared lesson plans
Ensure pupils remain focused and engaged with their work
Manage behaviour in line with school policies
Provide additional support to departments when not covering lessons
Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
✅ Experience working with young people (schools, youth work, sports coaching, tutoring etc.)
✅ Strong classroom presence and confident behaviour management skills
✅ Adaptability across a range of subjects and year groups
✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
✅ Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (can be arranged)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
