Job Description

Full-Time Teaching Assistant – Hall Green 
Location: Hall Green, Birmingham
Start Date: As soon as possible
Duration: Until July 2026 (full academic year)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:25am – 3:35pm (term time only)

Zest Education is proud to be working with a thriving infant school in the Hall Green area that is seeking a dedicated, consistent, and competent Teaching Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis.

The school boasts a warm and inclusive environment and has a dedicated resource base designed to support children with additional needs. The successful candidate will work with small groups of up to 11 pupils, providing tailored support to children with a variety of needs including:

  • Autism

  • ADHD

  • Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges

  • Physical disabilities

  • Global developmental delay

What we’re looking for:
✅ Experience working with children with additional needs (preferred but not essential)
✅ NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant childcare subject
✅ A calm, patient and proactive approach
✅ A strong team player who is flexible and reliable
✅ Someone with excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
