Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support children with special educational needs at a primary school in Leicester from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference to young learners’ education and development.
Provide 1:1 and small group support for children with SEN across EYFS, KS1, or KS2
Adapt learning materials and activities to meet pupils’ individual needs
Implement strategies from pupils’ EHCPs (Education, Health & Care Plans)
Support children with their social, emotional, and behavioural development
Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and parents to track progress
Foster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
✅ Experience working with children with SEN (autism, ADHD, speech & language, SEMH etc.)
✅ A caring, patient, and proactive approach
✅ Strong communication and teamwork skills
✅ Ability to adapt to different age groups and learning needs
✅ Enhanced DBS check and safeguarding training (can be arranged)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
