Are you an enthusiastic and committed Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in a supportive primary school?
Zest Education is proud to be working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Tamworth, currently seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025 through to the end of the Autumn term.
This Tamworth-based school is well-regarded in the local community and offers a welcoming and nurturing environment for both staff and pupils. With a strong emphasis on inclusion, the school supports children of all abilities and backgrounds, encouraging them to become confident, independent learners. Staff work collaboratively and are dedicated to ensuring every child has the opportunity to thrive both academically and personally.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils within the classroom. Your duties will include:
Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils who need additional guidance
Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, preparation, and classroom organisation
Encouraging positive behaviour and full participation in learning activities
Supporting children with additional needs or those who require extra academic or emotional support
Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
Working collaboratively with teaching staff to monitor pupil progress and provide feedback

We are looking for someone who is:
Level 3 qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) – preferred
Experienced in a primary school setting
Confident working with children of varying needs and learning abilities
Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed
Skilled in communication, organisation, and teamwork
Flexible and proactive in adapting to the needs of the classroom

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
