👩‍🏫 The Role – Teaching Assistant

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting teachers and pupils within the classroom. Your duties will include:

  • Providing 1:1 or small group support to pupils who need additional guidance

  • Assisting teachers with lesson delivery, preparation, and classroom organisation

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and full participation in learning activities

  • Supporting children with additional needs or those who require extra academic or emotional support

  • Helping to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment

  • Working collaboratively with teaching staff to monitor pupil progress and provide feedback

✅ Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Level 3 qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent) – preferred

  • Experienced in a primary school setting

  • Confident working with children of varying needs and learning abilities

  • Patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed

  • Skilled in communication, organisation, and teamwork

  • Flexible and proactive in adapting to the needs of the classroom
