Zest Education is currently working with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Derby, who are seeking a Class Teacher to join their team from October until the end of the Autumn term, with the possibility of an extension.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Class Teacher to take responsibility for a class (year group to be confirmed based on your experience and school requirements). You will be expected to plan and deliver lessons in line with the national curriculum, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and assess and support pupils’ learning and development.

This role is ideal for someone seeking a short-term teaching opportunity with the flexibility and potential to continue beyond the initial contract.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Recent experience teaching in a UK primary school

  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills

  • The ability to engage and motivate pupils of all abilities

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • A passion for primary education and a commitment to pupil progress
