Are you a passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant looking to make a positive impact in a vibrant primary school setting? Zest Education is currently looking for a Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in Tamworth, starting October 2025 until the end of the autumn term.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and helping to create a positive and productive classroom environment. Your role will involve:

  • Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils.

  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.

  • Encouraging pupil participation and reinforcing positive behaviour strategies.

  • Supporting students’ social and emotional development.

  • Helping with classroom organisation and day-to-day routines.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Level 3 qualified in Supporting Teaching and Learning or an equivalent qualification (preferred).

  • Experienced working within a primary school setting.

  • Enthusiastic, patient, and committed to making a difference.

  • Skilled in building strong relationships with pupils and staff.

  • Knowledgeable about the primary curriculum and confident in supporting children’s learning.

  • Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Confident in managing behaviour and supporting children with additional needs.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
