Primary Teacher – Burton – October Start

Location: Burton upon Trent
Start Date: October 2025
Duration: Until the end of the Autumn Term (with the possibility of extension)
Salary: Competitive daily rate (dependent on experience)

Zest Education is currently working with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Burton that is proud of its supportive team culture and strong community values. The school is well-resourced and has a clear focus on providing a safe, engaging, and high-quality learning environment for all pupils.

We are looking to recruit a qualified primary teacher to join the team from October 2025 until the end of the Autumn term, with the possibility of extension depending on school needs.

The Role:

This is a full-time class teacher position. The successful candidate will be working in either a KS1 or KS2 class (year group to be confirmed based on experience and preference).
Planning is not required – all lesson plans and resources will be provided by the school. Your focus will be on delivering lessons, engaging pupils in their learning, and managing classroom behaviour effectively.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

  • Recent teaching experience within a UK primary school

  • A strong understanding of the national curriculum

  • Effective classroom and behaviour management skills

  • The ability to quickly build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues

  • Good communication and organisational skills

  • A passion for teaching and supporting children to achieve their full potential

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
