Zest Education is looking for a reliable and hardworking Cook / Kitchen Assistant to support a busy school kitchen in Coventry. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for food, excellent teamwork skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Assist in the preparation and cooking of healthy, balanced school meals
Support the Cook with kitchen duties, including food prep, serving, and cleaning down
Ensure food hygiene and safety standards are followed at all times
Help maintain stock levels and report shortages
Provide friendly and efficient service to pupils and staff
Previous kitchen or catering experience (school setting desirable but not essential)
Knowledge of food hygiene and safety (Food Hygiene Certificate preferred)
Team player with a positive attitude
Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines
Enhanced DBS check required (or willingness to apply)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
