Teaching Assistant – Primary School
Start Date: October 2025
Contract: Until December 2025 (end of autumn term)
Location: Atherstone

Zest Education is working closely with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Atherstone, who are looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team from October 2025 through to the end of the autumn term.

About the Role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside the classroom teacher to provide support for pupils across the primary age range. This may include working with small groups or individual pupils, some of whom may have additional learning needs. You’ll play a key role in helping to create a positive and productive learning atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support classroom teaching and learning activities

  • Deliver focused interventions to individual pupils or small groups

  • Help manage pupil behaviour and promote a positive learning environment

  • Assist in preparing classroom resources and displays

  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development

  • Collaborate effectively with teachers and other school staff

Candidate Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (preferred)

  • Recent experience working with primary-aged children

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude

  • Understanding of the primary curriculum and child development
