Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract: Until the end of the Autumn Term

Zest Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Rugeley, who are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team after the October half term. This role will run for the duration of the Autumn term, with the potential for extension into the Spring term.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1, you will play a crucial role in supporting both the class teacher and pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils who may need additional help.

  • Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.

  • Supporting children’s learning through play and structured activities.

  • Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement in learning.

  • Contributing to the assessment and tracking of pupils’ progress.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about working with children. The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).

  • Have experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within KS1.

  • Be patient, caring, and have a genuine desire to make a difference in pupils’ learning.

  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Be adaptable, proactive, and able to work as part of a team.
