Zest Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Rugeley, who are seeking a dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team after the October half term. This role will run for the duration of the Autumn term, with the potential for extension into the Spring term.
This delightful one-form entry primary school is at the heart of its local community, known for its nurturing environment and strong emphasis on creating a positive learning atmosphere for all pupils. The staff team are passionate about delivering a creative and engaging curriculum, and they work closely together to support every child to reach their full potential. Behaviour at the school is excellent, and the leadership team is committed to ongoing professional development for all staff.
As a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1, you will play a crucial role in supporting both the class teacher and pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils who may need additional help.
Assisting with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources.
Supporting children’s learning through play and structured activities.
Promoting positive behaviour and encouraging engagement in learning.
Contributing to the assessment and tracking of pupils’ progress.
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about working with children. The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
Have experience working in a primary school setting, ideally within KS1.
Be patient, caring, and have a genuine desire to make a difference in pupils’ learning.
Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Be adaptable, proactive, and able to work as part of a team.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
