Start Date: After October Half Term
Contract: Until the end of the Autumn Term

Zest Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Swadlincote, who are looking to appoint a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team after the October half term. This role is offered for the remainder of the Autumn term, with the potential for further work in the future.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1, you will be supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and helping pupils to stay engaged and make progress. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with individuals and small groups to support learning.

  • Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation of resources.

  • Encouraging pupil participation and positive behaviour.

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs, where required.

  • Helping to track and record progress under the direction of the teacher.

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual who is committed to supporting young children in their learning journey. The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).

  • Have recent experience working in a primary school.

  • Be nurturing, patient, and able to build strong relationships with pupils.

  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.

  • Be flexible, reliable, and ready to make a positive impact.
