Zest Education is delighted to be working in partnership with a friendly and inclusive primary school in Swadlincote, who are looking to appoint a KS1 Teaching Assistant to join their team after the October half term. This role is offered for the remainder of the Autumn term, with the potential for further work in the future.

The staff work collaboratively to provide a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where every child is encouraged to thrive. With a focus on early intervention and personalised learning, the school is well-regarded for its nurturing approach and positive relationships with families.
As a Teaching Assistant in Key Stage 1, you will be supporting the class teacher in delivering high-quality lessons and helping pupils to stay engaged and make progress. Key responsibilities will include:
Working with individuals and small groups to support learning.
Assisting with classroom preparation and organisation of resources.
Encouraging pupil participation and positive behaviour.
Supporting pupils with additional needs, where required.
Helping to track and record progress under the direction of the teacher.
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic individual who is committed to supporting young children in their learning journey. The ideal candidate will:
Hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred).
Have recent experience working in a primary school.
Be nurturing, patient, and able to build strong relationships with pupils.
Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Be flexible, reliable, and ready to make a positive impact.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
