Zest Education is currently looking for dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work on a temporary basis in primary schools in and around Burton-on-Trent.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both the teacher and the pupils in the classroom. Your responsibilities may include:
Supporting learning activities under the guidance of the class teacher
Working with individual pupils or small groups to reinforce learning
Assisting with classroom preparation and displays
Promoting positive behaviour and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment
Helping pupils with additional needs to access the curriculum
Providing feedback to teachers and contributing to assessments
A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – preferred
Recent experience working in a primary school setting
A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development
A patient, caring, and proactive approach
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
An understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
