Teaching Assistant – Primary Schools (Lichfield and Surrounding Areas)

Zest Education is currently looking to recruit enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants to work in primary schools across Lichfield and the surrounding areas on a temporary basis.

The Role of a Teaching Assistant:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils throughout the school day. Your role may include:

  • Assisting in the delivery of lessons and classroom activities

  • Supporting individual pupils or small groups with their learning

  • Helping to manage classroom behaviour and encourage positive interactions

  • Preparing resources and helping to set up learning areas

  • Supporting pupils with additional needs or learning difficulties

  • Providing feedback to teachers and contributing to pupil progress reports


The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent) – preferred

  • Recent experience in a primary school setting

  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic approach to working with children

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • Good organisational skills and a flexible attitude

  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and child welfare procedures

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
