Zest Education is seeking dedicated and passionate SEN Teachers to work with pupils with a wide range of needs across schools in the West Midlands from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for qualified teachers who are committed to making a real difference in the lives of children with additional needs.
Plan and deliver tailored lessons that meet the individual needs of pupils with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, SEMH, SLD, PMLD)
Adapt teaching methods and resources to support different learning styles and abilities
Work closely with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, and external professionals
Manage classroom behaviour effectively using positive strategies
Track pupil progress and provide regular feedback to staff and parents
Create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment
✅ Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, SCITT, or other routes)
✅ Previous experience teaching children with SEN (mainstream or special school)
✅ Strong understanding of SEN strategies, differentiation, and EHCP targets
✅ Patient, empathetic, and resilient when supporting pupils with complex needs
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
