We are currently recruiting a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join their passionate team from October 2025. The role will continue for the remainder of the academic term, with a strong possibility of extension into the next school year for the right candidate.

Role Overview:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils’ learning and development across the primary phase. You will work closely with the class teacher to assist with lesson preparation, classroom management, and the delivery of targeted support to individual students and small groups. Your role may involve supporting children with additional learning needs, ensuring they are fully engaged and making progress in a safe and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support teaching and learning across the curriculum

  • Deliver targeted interventions under the guidance of teaching staff

  • Help manage classroom behaviour and promote positive learning environments

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils, including those with additional needs

  • Contribute to the assessment and observation of student progress

  • Assist in the preparation of learning materials and classroom displays

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)

  • Recent and relevant experience working with primary-aged children

  • Strong understanding of the national curriculum and primary education

  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

  • Adaptable, proactive, and committed to supporting all learners

  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
