Zest Education is seeking reliable and hardworking School Cleaners to join schools across Birmingham from September 2025. This is a key role in helping maintain high standards of cleanliness and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment for pupils, staff, and visitors.
Clean classrooms, corridors, toilets, and communal areas to a high standard
Ensure health, hygiene, and safety procedures are always followed
Operate cleaning equipment and products safely (training provided if required)
Work either independently or as part of a cleaning team to complete daily tasks
Report maintenance or safety issues to site management
✅ Previous cleaning experience (school, office, or commercial) preferred
✅ Reliable, punctual, and hardworking
✅ Awareness of COSHH and health & safety (training can be provided)
✅ Flexible to work early mornings or after-school hours
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
