Teaching Assistant Position at a Special Educational Needs School in Walsall

We are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a well-established special educational needs school in Walsall.

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Walsall
Start Date: October 2025
Hours: Full-time, Monday-Friday 8:30-15:30

This school is a reputable primary institution that focuses on fostering independence, respect, and confidence in all our students. We cater to children aged 5-11 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

Requirements:

– Ability to work well in a team
– Effective communication skills
– Willingness to learn and support students facing various difficulties

Key Responsibilities:
– Create a safe and nurturing environment for students to thrive and develop independence
– Embrace and promote diversity within the school community
– Safeguard all children and provide support tailored to their individual needs
– Assist in facilitating the learning process for students
– Adhere to school policies and procedures for accurate recording and reporting
