Zest Education are looking to recruit a full time Cover Supervisor to work in a high achieving secondary school in Penkridge. This opportunity is to start in April 2024 and will be for the remainder of the academic year.
The role:
The role of a Cover Supervisor involves supervising whole classes during teacher or support staff absences including implementing work, managing student behaviour and assisting students in relevant activities.
Cover Supervisors come from a variety of backgrounds including sports coaches, youth workers, teaching assistants, scout/playgroup leaders.
You will provide feedback to students in relation to their progress and achievement. You may be attached to a tutor group and will assist across the school in various capacity.
We require a flexible and creative individual who:
· Has very good numeracy/literacy skills
· Has excellent communication skills with students, parents/carers and professionals.
· Can use ICT to support and enhance teaching and learning.
· Can act as Cover Supervisor during the absence of teaching staff.
· Has a passionate commitment to raising the attainment of all students.
· A team player who is able to work collaboratively with others.
To be considered you will have a minimum of 20 days experience working with children/young people or be a recent University graduate.
Excellent rates of pay are available ranging between £74 – 85 per day.
