KS1 Teacher (part-time)

Job Description

We are looking for an inspiring KS1 teacher who can bring energy, creativity and commitment to the classroom. We are seeking a KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school (located in Royal Leamington Spa) on a part-time basis (3 days per week) starting in November. This is an excellent opportunity to shape children’s learning, bring creative ideas to the classroom and make a positive difference in their early education. The school values passionate teachers who provide engaging lessons, building pupils’ confidence and nurturing their love for learning.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum.
  • Create a positive and stimulating learning environment.
  • Assess, monitor and record pupils’ progress effectively.
  • Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of all learners, including those with additional needs.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure pupil progress and wellbeing.

What we’re looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and experience teaching KS1.
  • Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
  • Creativity, enthusiasm and a genuine passion for teaching.
  • Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit a range of learning styles and abilities, including supporting pupils with SEN.
  • A commitment to fostering a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • An enhanced DBS that is registered with the update service (or willingness to obtain one through Zest Education).

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
