Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join a special educational needs school in Coventry. This rewarding role is set to commence immediately and will run until the end of the academic year.

You’ll become part of a nurturing and inclusive school community, where your role will make a real difference to pupils with social, emotional, mental health (SEMH) needs and those on the autistic spectrum (ASD). Beyond providing care and encouragement, you will play an active part in supporting their learning by adapting tasks, reinforcing key skills, and helping them to access the curriculum in a way that works for them. We are looking for a compassionate and resourceful individual who can create a positive environment that not only supports personal growth but also helps every child achieve their educational potential.

As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for designing engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and implementing the Primary curriculum to facilitate academic growth. If you are a passionate educator with experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with SEMH/ASD, we encourage you to apply.

This role is perfect for an enthusiastic Primary Teacher who is eager to broaden their experience and develop their career within a SEN environment. We welcome applications from both experienced primary practitioners and secondary teachers with relevant skills who are ready to make a positive impact in a primary SEN setting.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience in supporting children with special educational needs
  • Sound understanding of strategies for establishing positive relationships with SEMH/ASD students
  • Ability to motivate and inspire students to reach their full potential
  • Strong team player with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated sense of humour, energy, flexibility, and a positive mindset
  • PGCE / QTS Qualification
