Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2 (KS2) 
Start Date: After October Half Term 2025
End Date: End of December 2025 (with potential for extension)
Location: Cannock, Staffordshire
Salary: Competitive rates of pay
Contract: Full-time, Temporary

Zest Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Cannock, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team after the October half term. This position will run until the end of the autumn term (end of December 2025), with the possibility of extension into the new year for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both the class teacher and pupils. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing small group and one-to-one support

  • Assisting in lesson delivery and classroom management

  • Helping to prepare resources and learning materials

  • Supporting pupils with varying levels of ability and learning needs

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing

  • Contributing to a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about making a difference in children’s education.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)

  • Proven experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting

  • A proactive and nurturing approach to supporting learning

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young learners thrive
