Teaching Assistant – Key Stage 2 (KS2)
Start Date: After October Half Term 2025

Zest Education is proud to be working with a welcoming and community-focused primary school in Cannock, seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their team after the October half term. This position will run until the end of the autumn term (end of December 2025), with the possibility of extension into the new year for the right candidate.
The school is known for its warm, inclusive ethos and commitment to nurturing the whole child. With a strong leadership team and a supportive staff community, the school places a high emphasis on developing confidence, curiosity, and kindness in all its pupils. The KS2 department is particularly focused on helping children transition smoothly through their educational journey, with a mix of engaging curriculum topics and enrichment opportunities.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting both the class teacher and pupils. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing small group and one-to-one support
Assisting in lesson delivery and classroom management
Helping to prepare resources and learning materials
Supporting pupils with varying levels of ability and learning needs
Encouraging positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
Contributing to a safe, stimulating, and inclusive classroom environment
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about making a difference in children’s education.
Requirements:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (preferred)
Proven experience working with children, ideally within a primary school setting
A proactive and nurturing approach to supporting learning
Strong communication and teamwork skills
A good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping young learners thrive

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
