Zest Education is recruiting a detail-oriented and proactive Attendance Officer to join a secondary school in Lichfield. This is a key role in supporting pupils’ learning by promoting excellent attendance and punctuality across the school.
Monitor and record daily pupil attendance using SIMS / Arbor
Follow up on absences via phone calls, texts, and emails
Work with pupils, parents, and staff to improve attendance rates
Produce attendance reports for school leadership and external agencies
Support with safeguarding by identifying attendance concerns early
Assist with general office/admin tasks when required
✅ Previous school administration or attendance experience (essential)
✅ Strong knowledge of SIMS / Arbor systems
✅ Excellent communication skills when liaising with parents and pupils
✅ Organised, reliable, and able to work independently
✅ Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
