Location: Rugby – Group: Year 1 – Days: 3/per week – Contract type: Long-Term

The Role – What You’ll Be Doing
As this is a part-time position (3 days per week), you will be working collaboratively alongside another experienced Year 1 teacher, sharing planning, teaching, and assessment responsibilities to ensure consistency and high-quality learning experiences for the children.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and inspiring lessons aligned with the national curriculum for Year 1
• Work in partnership with the class’s other teacher to plan, assess, and track pupil progress
• Create a nurturing and stimulating learning environment that supports all learners
• Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff
• Contribute to the wider school community and uphold the school’s values

What You’ll Need
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 1
• Strong understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A positive, proactive, and flexible attitude

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
