Zest Education is delighted to be working with a friendly and forward-thinking primary school in Tamworth, who are looking to recruit a motivated Teaching Assistant to start as soon as possible. This position will run through to the end of 2025, with the possibility of extension.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and working directly with children across the primary age range. You will be working with pupils on a 1:1 basis, leading small group activities, or supporting the wider classroom depending on the needs of the school.
Typical responsibilities include:
Assisting pupils in accessing the curriculum and engaging in learning activities
Providing tailored support to pupils with additional needs (SEN)
Encouraging positive behaviour and a safe learning environment
Supporting with literacy and numeracy interventions
Preparing and organising classroom resources
Contributing to planning and progress monitoring with the class teacher
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, proactive and passionate about working with children in a school environment.
Essential:
Experience working with children in a primary or educational setting
A positive and flexible approach to working in different classroom settings
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team
A nurturing, patient and caring attitude
Preferred:
Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
Experience supporting children with SEND
A current, enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
