Position: Full Time Nursery Assistant

Zest Education is proud to be working with a highly regarded and nurturing nursery setting in the heart of Tamworth that is currently seeking a passionate and reliable Nursery Assistant to join their team immediately on a full-time basis.

The Role:

As a Nursery Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment for children aged 0-5 years. You will support the day-to-day running of the nursery, contribute to planning activities, observe and report on children’s development, and work closely with other staff members to deliver a high standard of care and education.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children’s learning through play and planned activities

  • Assisting with feeding, changing, and maintaining a clean and safe environment

  • Observing and recording children’s progress

  • Building strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Ensuring safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual who is genuinely passionate about working with young children.

Preferred qualifications and experience include:

  • Level 3 qualification in Childcare / Early Years Education (or equivalent)

  • Experience working in a nursery or early years setting

  • A solid understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

  • A caring, patient, and enthusiastic personality

  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
