Zest Education is seeking a skilled and proactive Site Manager to join a supportive and friendly school in Coleshill. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced facilities professional or caretaker ready to take the next step into a leadership position, managing the maintenance, safety, and smooth running of the school site.
Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and management of the school buildings, grounds, and facilities
Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, basic plumbing, and joinery
Manage health and safety checks, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations
Supervise and support cleaning and site staff to maintain a clean and safe environment
Manage the security of the school premises, including opening and locking up daily
Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and local authorities to arrange repairs and maintenance work
Monitor and maintain records of inspections, risk assessments, and maintenance logs
Support with site setup for school events and activities
✅ Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Manager, or Facilities Supervisor (preferably in a school environment)
✅ Good practical maintenance skills and a proactive attitude
✅ Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and building compliance
✅ Strong organisational and communication skills
✅ Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining high standards
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
