Site Manager

Job Description

Zest Education is seeking a skilled and proactive Site Manager to join a supportive and friendly school in Coleshill. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced facilities professional or caretaker ready to take the next step into a leadership position, managing the maintenance, safety, and smooth running of the school site.

 Role Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day maintenance and management of the school buildings, grounds, and facilities

  • Carry out minor repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, basic plumbing, and joinery

  • Manage health and safety checks, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations

  • Supervise and support cleaning and site staff to maintain a clean and safe environment

  • Manage the security of the school premises, including opening and locking up daily

  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and local authorities to arrange repairs and maintenance work

  • Monitor and maintain records of inspections, risk assessments, and maintenance logs

  • Support with site setup for school events and activities

 Ideal Candidate:

✅ Previous experience as a Caretaker, Site Manager, or Facilities Supervisor (preferably in a school environment)
✅ Good practical maintenance skills and a proactive attitude
✅ Knowledge of Health & Safety, COSHH, and building compliance
✅ Strong organisational and communication skills
✅ Reliable, responsible, and committed to maintaining high standards
✅ Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
