As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons designed to meet the diverse needs of pupils with a variety of special educational needs, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) challenges. You’ll collaborate closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and families to develop individual learning plans and ensure that every pupil experiences academic and emotional progress. Patience, flexibility, and excellent communication skills are essential, along with a sincere passion for inclusive education.
The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have proven experience working in either a SEND or mainstream primary environment. A thorough understanding of the national curriculum and the ability to adapt teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs are crucial. Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
