Job Description

Are you passionate about making a real difference in children’s education? We’re looking for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our Trainee Teaching Assistant Programme.

Whether you’re a recent graduate, have experience supporting children in another setting, or personal experience with Special Educational Needs (SEN), this is an excellent opportunity to begin — or further develop — your career in education.

As part of the programme, you’ll gain hands-on experience working as a Trainee Teaching Assistant across a range of primary schools in Hammersmith and Fulham.

About the Role:

As a Trainee Teaching Assistant, you’ll work alongside teachers to support pupils in their learning and development across a range of subjects and age groups. You’ll help create a positive, inclusive learning environment, provide one-to-one or small-group support, and assist with classroom activities and resources.

  • Hours: 08:30 – 16:00, Monday to Friday

  • Placements in primary schools across Hammersmith and Fulham

  • Flexible or long-term placements to suit your availability

  • Full online training provided before you start your placement

Once your training is complete and background checks are cleared, our team will help match you with a suitable school placement.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A passion for supporting children’s learning and wellbeing

  • Reliable, positive, and patient individuals

  • Experience working with or caring for children (professional or personal)

  • A genuine interest in SEN and inclusive education

  • Willingness to complete required online training

  • Commitment to obtaining an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS

  • Candidates located in or close to Hammersmith and Fulham
