🌟 Nursery Practitioner – Burton 🌟

Start date: ASAP
Contract: Until December 2025 (possibility of extension)
Location: Burton-on-Trent

Zest Education are delighted to be working with a fantastic, high-quality nursery setting in Burton-on-Trent, who are looking for a dedicated and caring Nursery Practitioner to join their friendly team as soon as possible.

💼 The Role

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will:

  • Support the learning, play, and development of children aged 0–5 in line with the EYFS framework

  • Plan and deliver creative and engaging activities that promote learning through play

  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues

  • Observe and record children’s progress to help track their individual development

  • Ensure that the nursery environment is safe, stimulating, and nurturing at all times

This role will begin as soon as possible and continue until December 2025, with the potential for extension based on performance and setting needs.


⭐ The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent

  • Have recent, hands-on experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting

  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of the EYFS curriculum

  • Be enthusiastic, patient, and committed to supporting every child’s individual journey

  • Work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with children and adults alike

  • Hold a valid Enhanced DBS check (or be willing to obtain one)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
