Zest Education is excited to be working with a welcoming and high-achieving primary school in Cannock that is seeking a Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teaching Assistant to join their fantastic team from November until the end of December 2025. There is a strong possibility that this position may be extended into the new year.

As a KS1 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the class teacher and helping children reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include:
Assisting with the planning and delivery of engaging learning activities
Providing targeted support to pupils in small groups or on a one-to-one basis
Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a stimulating learning environment
Supporting pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development
Helping to prepare classroom materials and maintain an organised learning space
This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about education and eager to make a real difference in young learners’ lives.
The ideal candidate will be:
Level 3 qualified (preferred) or hold equivalent childcare/teaching support qualifications
Experienced in working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS1
Patient, caring, and enthusiastic with a genuine interest in helping children succeed
Confident in supporting literacy and numeracy development
A great communicator, able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
Adaptable and reliable, with a proactive approach to supporting learning
