KS2 Teaching Assistant – Rugeley

Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire
Start Date: January 2026
Contract: First half term (potential for extension)

Zest Education is working with a welcoming and well-resourced primary school in Rugeley who are seeking a dedicated KS2 Teaching Assistant to join their friendly team from January 2026 for the duration of the first half term.

About the Role

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stage 2. You’ll work with small groups and individual pupils, helping to boost confidence, understanding, and progress in key subjects such as English and Maths.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting classroom activities and lesson delivery

  • Assisting pupils with additional learning needs

  • Preparing and organising classroom resources

  • Helping to maintain a positive and inclusive learning environment

  • Providing feedback to the class teacher on pupil progress

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare

  • Experienced in working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS2

  • Patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable in approach

  • Able to build strong relationships with pupils and staff

  • Confident in supporting learning across the curriculum

  • Passionate about making a difference in children’s educational journeys
