Zest Education is delighted to be working with a friendly and supportive primary school in Tamworth, who are looking for a passionate EYFS Teaching Assistant to join their Early Years team from January 2026 for the first half term.

As an EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting children in the Reception or Nursery class as they take their first steps in education. You’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and academic development.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering creative, hands-on learning experiences
Helping children with early phonics, number skills, and communication development
Encouraging positive behaviour and social interaction through play
Preparing learning materials and maintaining a tidy, welcoming classroom
Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to the teacher
This role is ideal for someone who loves working with young children and wants to make a lasting impact at the very start of their educational journey.
We are looking for a Teaching Assistant who is:
Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) in Early Years Education, Childcare, or Supporting Teaching and Learning
Experienced in working with children
Caring, patient, and enthusiastic about early childhood development
Able to support learning through play and exploration
A strong communicator who can build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents
Passionate about creating a joyful and engaging learning environment

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications.
