Zest Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Burton upon Trent. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible, with the opportunity to make a real difference in the classroom every day.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside class teachers to support pupils across the primary age range. Your role will involve providing both one-to-one and small-group support, helping to create engaging learning experiences, and ensuring all children have the opportunity to succeed.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom activities
Providing targeted support to pupils who need additional help
Encouraging children’s participation, confidence, and independence
Preparing resources and maintaining an organised classroom environment
Assisting with assessments and reporting pupil progress to teaching staff

We are looking for someone who is:
Level 2 or Level 3 qualified (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning or Childcare
Experienced in working with primary-aged children
Positive, proactive, and adaptable in their approach
Confident supporting pupils of varying abilities
Able to communicate effectively with staff, pupils, and parents
Passionate about helping children reach their full potential

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
