Deputy Nursery Manager

Zest Education is delighted to be recruiting for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join a warm and welcoming small nursery in the Burton area. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate and dedicated early years professional looking to take the next step in their career and support the smooth running of a nurturing childcare setting. ASAP Start till July 2026.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the Nursery Manager in the day-to-day operations of the nursery
  • Leading and inspiring the staff team to provide high-quality care and education
  • Ensuring that all safeguarding, health and safety, and EYFS standards are met.
  • Building strong relationships with children, parents, and staff
  • Contributing to planning, observations, and curriculum development

What we are looking for:

  • A Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
  • Previous experience in a senior or supervisory role within an early year setting.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • A genuine passion for early years education and child development
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts between 7am and 6pm
  • Ability to drive is preferred due to the village location (though public transport links are available)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.

The role advertised is for temporary supply work.
