Role: Supply Teaching Assistants Stone

Location: Stone and surrounding areas
Contract Type: Flexible / Temporary / Day-to-Day Supply
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm (subject to school requirements)
Salary: £89 – £95 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
Start Date: Ongoing – Immediate opportunities available


About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Supply Teaching Assistants to join our network of local primary schools across Stone. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development in a nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment.

As a Supply Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting classroom teachers, working with small groups or individual pupils, and helping to create a positive learning experience for all children. Supply work offers flexibility, allowing you to choose when and where you work while gaining valuable experience across a variety of school settings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to pupils, including those with additional learning needs (SEN).

  • Assist in maintaining a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Prepare learning materials and classroom resources when required.

  • Supervise pupils during break times, transitions, and off-site activities.

  • Support pupils with emotional and social development, promoting positive behaviour.

  • Follow school safeguarding policies and contribute to pupils’ overall wellbeing.


Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a primary school or educational setting (desirable but not essential).

  • A relevant qualification, such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant, CACHE, or equivalent.

  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their learning journey.

  • Strong communication, patience, and adaptability.

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team or independently.

  • An up-to-date Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

  • A flexible and positive attitude towards supply work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
