About the Role

Zest Education is recruiting a General Teaching Assistant to work across all year groups in a welcoming school in Bedworth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic about education and keen to support pupils of varying ages and abilities. The role will involve working flexibly across different classes, providing support where it is most needed, and helping to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide classroom support across all year groups, adapting to the needs of different age ranges
  • Assist teachers with lesson preparation and delivery
  • Support pupils on a one-to-one basis and in small groups, including those with SEND, to enhance learning outcomes
  • Help implement strategies to meet the needs of pupils with additional learning or behavioural requirements
  • Promote inclusion and encourage positive engagement from all pupils
  • Contribute to the wider school community and assist with extracurricular activities when required

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a school setting is desirable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to adapt quickly to different year groups and learning environments
  • A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and development, including those with SEND
  • Team player with a proactive and flexible approach

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
