Job Description

Zest Education is recruiting a reliable and hardworking Cleaner to join a school based in Lichfield. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and creating a safe, welcoming environment for pupils and staff.

🧩 Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out daily cleaning duties across classrooms, offices, corridors, and communal areas
  • Ensure toilets, washrooms, and dining areas are cleaned and maintained to a high standard
  • Use cleaning equipment and materials safely and effectively
  • Follow health and safety procedures, including COSHH regulations
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the site manager
  • Support the school in maintaining a hygienic and safe environment for all

👤 Ideal Candidate:

✅ Previous experience in cleaning, ideally within a school or similar environment

📋 Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently

💬 Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions

🧽 Knowledge of cleaning products and safe working practices

🛡️ Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities

🪪 Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
